:) It's quite soothing to practice - very calming and focusing.

I've learned that Hindi script is called Devanagari (or sometimes Nagari) and that it has 46 discrete characters plus some modified ones. I haven't learned why they're modified - something to do with what letters some other letters fall next to in a word or something... I'm sure I'll learn soon enough.

So, my first seven vowels are
a as in sun
a as in father
i as in sim
i as in seed
u as in book
u as in food
ri as in ring
